Teri Varcoe, MSW RSW
I provide a down-to-earth, non-judgemental space where you can feel safe to tell your story, express your concerns and feelings, and learn to identify and engage your strengths. My approach varies depending on your unique needs and circumstances. I work within a framework that is trauma-informed, holistic, practical, strengths-based, and takes into account the complex world in which we live. Come away with practical strategies, solutions and a new perspective.
During the COVID-19 Pandemic, counselling is available by telephone and on-line.
Teri Varcoe, MSW RSW
I am a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree with eighteen years of counselling experience. I provide counselling in an accessible home office in Victoria, British Columbia.
There are many and often profound challenges and transitions we experience throughout life. We need not face them alone, overwhelmed by shame and stigma. Realize the strengths, potential and resilience you have.
I enjoy working with adults and couples of all ages who may be struggling with issues such as anxiety, low self-esteem and related boundary issues, stress management, grief and loss and other life transitions (change of job, moving), relationship issues, mental health issues, disABILITY including acquired brain injury, chronic health issues and terminal illness including, not limited, to dementia. I have a special interest and vast knowledge and experience working with family caregivers and professional caregivers alike.
Besides my work as a counsellor, I am a mom of young children, a spouse, daughter, friend, sister and granddaughter.
